In this performance, I start
mixing 1000 kilos of clay with a
bale of straw. With the mixture
i build an anthropomorphic
form in the center of the room.
Immediately after i split the
shape in two and at the same
time i also divide the space.
Shortly after with each half I
build an anthropomorphic form
in the center of each space.
Then I re-divide each shape and
each space in two and place
in the center of each space
another shape. So the action
is repeated multiple times by
dividing shapes and spaces until
obtaining the number of 160
figures, each of which occupies
proportionally the same space
as the first figure. In the last
section of the action I crush
the figures with the feet until
forming a stratum. To finish I put
again a lot of mud and another
straw as an invitation to repeat
the whole process indefinitely.
