Parametres per a un paisatge. 1997

The intervention started with the drawing of the
perimeter of the Chapel (limit ) in a field about 2 km
distant. Then the circumscribed space was divided
into squares of 40×40 cm. Every square was extracted
carefully to reposition them exactly in the same place
inside the Chapel. The result of the process is the
reversal of the exhibition situation. A gap appears
in the shape of the gallery in the landscape, while
in the Capella, after a meticulous reconstruction,
it’s possible to perceive the landscape extracted
occupying the entire surface of the room. This work
opens up several possibilities to think about how
the human being appropriates reality or about the
relationship between art and landscape.
